The Leh–Manali Highway was designed, built and is maintained entirely by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) which works under Ministery of Defence. Border Roads Organisation (BRO) develops and maintains the road network’s in India’s border areas and our neighboring countries like Afghanistan, Bhutan, Myanmar, and Srilanka. They handle 18 projects in which project Himank is responsible for the construction and maintenance of roads and related infrastructure of the Ladakh district including the world’s highest motorable roads across the Khardung La, Tanglang La, and Chang La passes. They are worth accolades not only for their efforts and achievements in the projects but also for the witty signboards that make the Leh Ladakh journey more awesome and brings a smile to all the travelers.
